Greetings from Deer River High School!
After
a relatively warm winter, we are starting to see signs of spring
all around us. We have many exciting things going on right now
at the high school, from spring music concerts and art
competitions to a full line-up of spring sports. Throughout it
all, our students and staff continue to exhibit a commitment to
excellence inside and outside of the school.
For
many of our students, spring means registering for fall courses
and state testing. Our registration process is underway and I
would encourage you to check in with your student about plans
for the coming year. Input from parents is a key component of a
well-rounded, successful high school experience.
April
brings a host of state-mandated tests our way, and I am
confident that our students will continue to do well. We are
certainly proud our how well our students have done in the past
and continue to look for ways to improve teaching and learning
so we can take the next step of becoming a 5 Star School!
At
DRHS we are committed to continuing what has been a great year.
I hope you have a great school year also and will look for ways
to “plug in” to the many positive things happening around here.
Best
wishes,
Matt
