King Elementary School continues to offer a positive
learning environment focused on the philosophy "kids first".
Academic achievement, as well as social and emotional student growth are
central to strategy instruction.
 Our teachers continue to be among
the most highly trained in reading, and in the region. are considered
teacher leaders in literacy development. Weekly professional study
groups are held K-3 and bi-weekly study groups are held for 4-6 staff,
which keep them abreast of the latest research and best practices
literacy. During the 05-06 school year, we will be offering
additional opportunities for Gifted Education, and we have employed a
professional to integrate technology into our curriculum. We are
proud to offer multi-age and looping classrooms, as well as traditional
classes. A very successful all day everyday Kindergarten program
continues to be offered. The combination of student centered
learning and strong academic programming offered in a variety of
settings continues to make King School a great place to learn, have fun,
and be with friends. |
