The Child Nutrition Program of ISD #317 offers nutritious breakfast and lunch choices daily. Students may also purchase a variety of A La Carte items in order to help fill their diverse tastes.
THE LUNCH CASHIER
Our computerized system is used for easy, accurate and detailed tracking of all food service sales. Each student is assigned a four-digit identification number to use when making purchases to a family account.
FAMILY ACCOUNTS
This account is just like your personal checkbook. To purchase items, you need money to spend. When you send funds, the money is credited to your family account. When items are purchased, available dollars are reduced. Detailed statements are available upon request.
When your family account is low ($5.00 per member or less) the computer will beep as the student puts in their identification number. This beep should alert your child that money is needed.
YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AVAILABLE DOLLARS.

FAMILIES WHO QUALIFY FOR FREE/REDUCED MEALS
If your family falls within the income guidelines please submit an application. Legislators, to allocate school funding, are currently using the percentages of free/reduced student population within our school district. An application for free/reduced meals is enclosed and is required to be submitted within the proper time guidelines. See the enclosed material for more information. The computer system that we use prevents the staff or students from distinguishing who is free/reduced or full paid. You can be assured that this information is confidential.
LACTOSE INTOLERANCE
Students with lactose intolerance may receive a milk alternative if the parent makes request in writing. Alternatives include lactose-reduced milk, milk fortified with lactase in liquid, tablet, granular, or other form, or milk to which lactobacillus acidophilus has been added.
